Mr. & Ms. Cafe @ Oasis Ara Damansara

Friday, July 12, 2013
Another new shop in the town !
Lucky me. Got this news from Instagram.
Found it attractive, and have decided to drop by.
When I first heard Oasis Ara Damansara, I thought it was somewhere around Damansara.
Never thought I have to go through airports, and end up nearby Subang.
And lucky me for not getting lost. Thanks to my GPS :)

Heard that Mr. & Ms. Cafe just open up for business a month ago.
One of the attracting part of it is, there was some prop in each tables.
Customer would love it a lot as they can selca while waiting for food.
Moustache represent Mr, Lips represent Ms.

Latte (RM8).
Mr. & Ms. Cafe breakfast platter (RM19.90+)
It features mini-pancakes with grilled bananas, muesli with roasted nuts & milk, plus a bowl of fresh fruit.
Such a healthy brunch I'm having XD
Somehow, I'm not a fan of milk.
Mr. & Ms. Cafe Chicken Penne Pasta (RM21.90)
Taste good. Not bad tho.

Felt full after eating, but wanted to try the famous "A Chocolate Love Affair".
Many of them who had visited has recommend to try this.
So decided to take away. I wouldn't wanna miss this chance for something so delicious, ain't I ?
A Chocolate Love Affair (RM9.90)
And to my surprise, it was really good ! Totally recommend this to anyone of you who plan to visit this lovely cafe. Must not miss this chance if you're a dessert or chocolate lover !

I love the environment here, kinda quiet and comfortable.
They even serve water for free like how all the Korean shops do.
Would love to visit again, but it's just too far for me Sigh.

Levain Boulangerie Patisserie @ Jalan Delima KL

Went to Levain yesterday with my sister. And this is our second time visiting Levain after 8 months.
Reason of coming back : To try more desserts.

For first time comer,

  • Levain provide Valet Parking for RM2.

Never worried about the parking, but some people did complain that they got saman even though they call the people in charge to park their car, but they end up parked your car outside, beside the road.

  • Do take a "Reserved" plat sign at the counter, on your right near the staircase
Find an empty table as you like, and place the reserved plat on the table. You do not need to worry as nobody will take your place. Do remember your table number as they will ask for it when you're paying for your meals.

  • To order, go to the bakery at your left to choose your bread/dessert.
Pay at the counter. You can also order spaghetti/drinks at the country. The menu will be at the counter.

  • Water is free of charge and refillable :)

The desserts :)
The Dessert and Spaghetti
Chicken Meatball Spaghetti (RM11.90)
Not bad for a spaghetti, but can't really taste the meatball.
Strawberry Yoghurt (RM8.90)
If you're a fan of strawberry, you might like this !
Not too sour, just nice :)

Pavlova (RM8.90)
Although I love sweet stuff a lot, but this Pavlova big macaroon is really too sweet.
Can't even afford to put another spoon in my mouth.
This is some little dessert we bought from the bakery side.
White Crunch (RM3.20), Rusked Macaroon (RM8), and Strawberry Tart (RM4.90)
Actually wanted to try Choco Crunch (like black) but it was sold out.
The White Crunch was just white chocolate coating of a bun. Where else the rusked macaroons is sweet, but thank god not too sweet like the pavlova and has peanut butter it in :)
And the Strawberry Tart, was always the best dessert I've tried.

We can't really finish the Pavlova as it was too sweet.
It was affordable price for a big size of dessert, but too fattening and cause nausea.
And I take away this two cute buns !
Mickey S & L !
Forgot the price of it as the receipt wasn't given to me.
It's just a normal cheese bread, but it's fluffy and i love it :)
But no matter how special is Levain, I don't think I'll visit it within this few month.
Somehow it's not up to my expectation. Just doesn't suit my taste.
Maybe I've choose the wrong dessert to try.
Well, feel free to recommend me a nice dessert from there :)

Ice Factory @ Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara

New Shop in the Town !
and where is it ? It's in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara :)
It's a dessert shop which sell mostly Ice food/dessert.
Decided to give it a try as it was very "hot" among the SEGi KD students.
Crispy Puffs (RM8.90)
Puff with three different flavour you can choose from either coffee, fruit, strawberry, vanilla or chocolate.
The Golden Stairway (RM10.90)
Its a dessert full of Mango taste, even the ice base is Mango. But don't get cheated with that white thingy, it's not coconut, it's not tau fu fa, but its like a harden Condensed milk.
North Pole (RM8.90)
It is ice based spread with honey and is consist of 6 small ice-cream with six different flavour.
Garden of Eden
I'm not so sure of the actual price, but it was RM17.90 as set with drinks.
During lunch hour, there will be some food/ice dessert which comes in set.
I like the sandwich concept which come with fruits and jam, but the patty was a bit salty.
Ice Awesome Cream (RM12.50)
This waffle set is very filling. The waiter will provide you some chocolate/honey for an additional flavour on top of the waffles.

Overall, I think the food is okay. I like the concept and creativity of the foods.
Isn't wrong for another visit :)
But do try not to order so much like me, because it's very filling. Share the ice dessert in three-four people if you plan to order it.

Salon Du Chocolat @ Publika

There is this new chocolate shop named Salon Du Chocolat @ Publika, located nearby Plan B.
I'm not sure how long it started their business. But it seem like they first started their business by selling packed chocolate and now they are trying something better for the business.
Salon Du Chocolat now offers mouth-watering, gourmet chocolates, pralines, and truffles hand-made from the finest ingredients.
I dare not compare the taste of it and DipnDip as I haven't tried DipnDip yet.
But many who tried both said Salon Du Chocolat taste nicer, the chocolate wasn't that sweet compare to DipnDip, and also cheaper.
I'll need to find one day to try DipnDip to know the truth tho.

Salon Du Chocolat sells sweet temptations from Turkey including chocolates, traditional Turkish desserts, dried fruit and confectionery.
They give out samples to try out too.
Chocolate Waffle (RM14.50)
Half Milk Chocolate, Half Dark Chocolate.
Chocolate Crepe (RM13.20)
I'm not so sure if they have increase the price or not as I went there during their first month of opening.
Was given promotion with purchase.
But however, I'll still visit here again as I have not try the other desserts.
Do drop by a visit and support them ! Very warm services but the only problem there will be lack of tables for the customers. So it's basically first come first serve.
Really hope they will provide more tables and chairs.

Tea time at Dreamz Bakery, The Strand Kota Damansara

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Tea time at Dreamz Bakery, The Strand Kota Damansara.
It is located at the same row as Burger Junkyard but its a bit futher down.

The environment there was quiet. I'm not so sure is it always like that. I went there on Friday evening with my sister.
But it is a suitable place for the youngster's gathering tho.
Just one thing I'm not satisfy is there seem like no menu for us to look at. I'm not sure is it its how this shop work like, but I don't like not having menu to look at because I don't know what other desserts they offer other than the one they display.
Plus, it's quite pricey. I order a slice of crepes, creme brûlée, a box of Almond cookie and a set of macaroons which consists of six pieces, it cost me around RM50++

Anyhow, it's self service here.
You just need to order the things you want at the cashier,  pay at the cashier and tell them your table number.
The staff there will send the desserts to your table.

This is our order. Just a simple one.
Dark Choco Layer for RM9.90 for a slice.
The nicest crepes I tasted so far.
Creme Brûlée for RM6.90
Too small serving.
I love this section the most. It reminds me of memories.
Papers are available there. You can jot down some caption and hang it on the wall.
I even bought some desserts back for my family :)
Hello Kitty Almond Cookies for RM9.90
And mix macaroons for RM 22.
The macaroons flavours are : Lemon+Strawberry, Mint+Blueberry, Mocha+Rum,
Green Tea+Wasabi, White Choco+Mango, Hazelnut+Orange.
But frankly saying, the macaroons are not so nice.

Häagen - Dazs

Tuesday, May 14, 2013
Had Häagen-Dazs dessert with the family at One Utama that day.
Since mum had some UOB points, I asked her to redeemed it for a RM50 Häagen - Dazs cash voucher.

We order a Chocolate Fondue which cost RM66.
The fondue can feed up from 2-4 people depending on the chocolate intake of individual.
The environment there is not that cooling. I wonder is It all ice cream shops are like that or what.
Anyway the total cost for just a fondue is RM76++ including the tax.

I'll try to update more on my blog.
Feel free ? You can follow me at Instagram or Twitter for a better quicker update.
