Ten28ight Boutique Cafe @ Sri Hartamas

Thursday, July 18, 2013
Visited Ten28ight Boutique Cafe at Sri Hartamas yesterday for Hi-tea with my girls.
I always love having afternoon hi-tea.
Lucky me, I've got this voucher from Groupon.
Instead of RM114.90 for four person, I only used RM52 for the Cakes, Macarons, Tarts, Pastry, Coffee / Tea, and More :)

The afternoon Tea Set
From the first tray : Cheese Tarts and Fruit Tarts.
I normally dislike eating Cheese cakes/tarts as the cheese taste is too strong, but this tart taste just right and I love it ! :)
From the second tray : Parfaits and Macaroon.
From the third tray: Quiche, Curry puff, Samosa.
I love the Samosa, taste like otak-otak ! Slurp !
We also got to choose two slices of cakes from Mille crepe, Mango Cheese Cake, Banana peanut butter cake, Chocolate Moist Cake and  Almond praline.
Because we're not a fan of cheese and mille creepe, we took this cakes !

Almond praline.
My first time having this type of cake, and it was awesome, really !
Chocolate Moist Cake.
Overall, the food is nice. The services is too, the bosses kept coming to our table and ask whether is everything alright and does we need anything else.
Environment pun okay, but I didn't got the time to go around as the floor upstairs was close.
But I heard the decoration upstairs was awesome.
Anyway, Ten28ight Boutique Cafe does not only serve afternoon hi-tea.
You can drop by for lunch as well, saw the board yesterday saying lunch set is from RM9.90 :)

Gangnam88 @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Sunday, July 14, 2013
My second time here (and my second post regarding Gangnam88) and I still think it worth the visit !
You'll definitely love the environment and service here.
Besides, this shop is always full of Koreans :) But be sure to come during lunch hour.
The sets/food are cheaper during lunch hour compare to dinner time.

Galbi/Pork BBQ (RM25) with rice.
The signature dish and my family's favorite.
The chicken are serve with some sweet sauce which people will definitely fall in love with.

Dosirak (RM17)
Which is also known as Horse Dancing Lunch Box. My favorite of all !
This is the outcome after shaking. Wanted to take a photo before shaking, but the waiter just automatically shakes it without asking me :(
Samgyeop (RM25)
Basically the BBQ one is nicer. This dish taste bit plain, tasteless.
And it come with rice fyi.
Kimchi Rice (RM20)
This dish is spicy. So if you're not someone who usually take spicy food, this is not recommended.
Comes with steam egg and soup.
The main dishes that we ordered.
The whole dishes with side dishes that we ordered.
FYI, the side dishes is refillable.
Cute spoons.
This spoon was used when drinking coffee and eating Korean Ice Kacang.
Sorry for the blur photo. Can't focus much.

Mr. & Ms. Cafe @ Oasis Ara Damansara

Friday, July 12, 2013
Another new shop in the town !
Lucky me. Got this news from Instagram.
Found it attractive, and have decided to drop by.
When I first heard Oasis Ara Damansara, I thought it was somewhere around Damansara.
Never thought I have to go through airports, and end up nearby Subang.
And lucky me for not getting lost. Thanks to my GPS :)

Heard that Mr. & Ms. Cafe just open up for business a month ago.
One of the attracting part of it is, there was some prop in each tables.
Customer would love it a lot as they can selca while waiting for food.
Moustache represent Mr, Lips represent Ms.

Latte (RM8).
Mr. & Ms. Cafe breakfast platter (RM19.90+)
It features mini-pancakes with grilled bananas, muesli with roasted nuts & milk, plus a bowl of fresh fruit.
Such a healthy brunch I'm having XD
Somehow, I'm not a fan of milk.
Mr. & Ms. Cafe Chicken Penne Pasta (RM21.90)
Taste good. Not bad tho.

Felt full after eating, but wanted to try the famous "A Chocolate Love Affair".
Many of them who had visited has recommend to try this.
So decided to take away. I wouldn't wanna miss this chance for something so delicious, ain't I ?
A Chocolate Love Affair (RM9.90)
And to my surprise, it was really good ! Totally recommend this to anyone of you who plan to visit this lovely cafe. Must not miss this chance if you're a dessert or chocolate lover !

I love the environment here, kinda quiet and comfortable.
They even serve water for free like how all the Korean shops do.
Would love to visit again, but it's just too far for me Sigh.

Levain Boulangerie Patisserie @ Jalan Delima KL

Went to Levain yesterday with my sister. And this is our second time visiting Levain after 8 months.
Reason of coming back : To try more desserts.

For first time comer,

  • Levain provide Valet Parking for RM2.

Never worried about the parking, but some people did complain that they got saman even though they call the people in charge to park their car, but they end up parked your car outside, beside the road.

  • Do take a "Reserved" plat sign at the counter, on your right near the staircase
Find an empty table as you like, and place the reserved plat on the table. You do not need to worry as nobody will take your place. Do remember your table number as they will ask for it when you're paying for your meals.

  • To order, go to the bakery at your left to choose your bread/dessert.
Pay at the counter. You can also order spaghetti/drinks at the country. The menu will be at the counter.

  • Water is free of charge and refillable :)

The desserts :)
The Dessert and Spaghetti
Chicken Meatball Spaghetti (RM11.90)
Not bad for a spaghetti, but can't really taste the meatball.
Strawberry Yoghurt (RM8.90)
If you're a fan of strawberry, you might like this !
Not too sour, just nice :)

Pavlova (RM8.90)
Although I love sweet stuff a lot, but this Pavlova big macaroon is really too sweet.
Can't even afford to put another spoon in my mouth.
This is some little dessert we bought from the bakery side.
White Crunch (RM3.20), Rusked Macaroon (RM8), and Strawberry Tart (RM4.90)
Actually wanted to try Choco Crunch (like black) but it was sold out.
The White Crunch was just white chocolate coating of a bun. Where else the rusked macaroons is sweet, but thank god not too sweet like the pavlova and has peanut butter it in :)
And the Strawberry Tart, was always the best dessert I've tried.

We can't really finish the Pavlova as it was too sweet.
It was affordable price for a big size of dessert, but too fattening and cause nausea.
And I take away this two cute buns !
Mickey S & L !
Forgot the price of it as the receipt wasn't given to me.
It's just a normal cheese bread, but it's fluffy and i love it :)
But no matter how special is Levain, I don't think I'll visit it within this few month.
Somehow it's not up to my expectation. Just doesn't suit my taste.
Maybe I've choose the wrong dessert to try.
Well, feel free to recommend me a nice dessert from there :)

myBurgerLab, Seapark PJ

My first visit at myBurgerLab was last month with my secondary friends.
I know I know, I was kinda outdated.
But after I know it was nearby, I don't mind coming every week ! (justkidding)

So this is what we ordered, I mean for last month.
From Left : Beef Kick Face, Chicken S.Hawaiian and A+
And after the first try with them, I just can't stop craving for it.
It was simply too delicious to ignore. Love how fluffy is the bun even though it was kept for 30 minutes plus.
Why 30 minutes ? Well, we can't get any place to sit in myBurgerLab shop so we decided to take away and eat it at Desa Park City.
Compare to Crayon Burgers, myBurgerLab bun is way softer and fluffy but Crayon Burger has more space to sit compare to myBurgerLab.

And so, because I can't stop craving it, went again last Saturday with my other badge of friends.
This time we went during the evening instead of night.
When we reach there (at 4.40pm), there was already a queue in front of the shop even though the shop wasn't open for business yet.
The moment we queue and look behind, there is a very long queue !
Lucky us for having some seats to enjoy our meals. Thank god :)
Chic A+, Chicken Curry Crunch, Beef Beautiful Mess, and Beef Say Cheese
I definitely would hope myBurgerLab to expand their store wider so that there will be more seats for the customers. And also to open a branch at Kepong ! :3
Proudly to say, this is also one of my favourite place ! And I'm still craving for it, again D:
You can check here for the newest menu and also the pricing, myBurgerLab

Ice Factory @ Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara

New Shop in the Town !
and where is it ? It's in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara :)
It's a dessert shop which sell mostly Ice food/dessert.
Decided to give it a try as it was very "hot" among the SEGi KD students.
Crispy Puffs (RM8.90)
Puff with three different flavour you can choose from either coffee, fruit, strawberry, vanilla or chocolate.
The Golden Stairway (RM10.90)
Its a dessert full of Mango taste, even the ice base is Mango. But don't get cheated with that white thingy, it's not coconut, it's not tau fu fa, but its like a harden Condensed milk.
North Pole (RM8.90)
It is ice based spread with honey and is consist of 6 small ice-cream with six different flavour.
Garden of Eden
I'm not so sure of the actual price, but it was RM17.90 as set with drinks.
During lunch hour, there will be some food/ice dessert which comes in set.
I like the sandwich concept which come with fruits and jam, but the patty was a bit salty.
Ice Awesome Cream (RM12.50)
This waffle set is very filling. The waiter will provide you some chocolate/honey for an additional flavour on top of the waffles.

Overall, I think the food is okay. I like the concept and creativity of the foods.
Isn't wrong for another visit :)
But do try not to order so much like me, because it's very filling. Share the ice dessert in three-four people if you plan to order it.

Gangnam88 @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Celebrated my little brother's birthday at Gangnam88.
Was told that there is one special VIP Big Bang room, and I called up for reservation.
In the Big Bang room.
Specially for those celebrating their birthday.
Main dish of Gangnam88, Pork BBQ.
This is the signature of Gangnam88. Must definitely try this when you drop by.

The chicken has a sweet scent and taste.
Horsedancing Lunch Box (RM20)
This one is definitely my favourite of all ! Was craving for it since I saw Ellie from K-Pop Tasty Road eating it.Well, it doesn't actually look like this. This is the look after shaking the lunch box.
And for this meal, it is compulsory to shake the lunch box in order to mix well the ingredients for a nicer taste.
This was ordered by my sister and I have no idea what does it called. Sorry :(
But it was spicy for her.

This is how messy our table is with foods.
Beer Chicken (RM50)
Not to forget, it is a must to order this Beer Chicken if you drop by Gangnam88.
It is another signature dishes of them. But in order to order it, you have to make a reservation from them a day before or two.
Personally, the staff there will cut em into pieces for you.
Korean Ice Kacang :)
So, this is the dessert given by them. Every set comes with a dessert or a coffee.
They even provide us some fruits when the other table didn't get any.
I'm not so sure the reason for that, but it seems like we got VIP treatment for the day.
Most probably it was due to my brother's birthday.

Cute isn't the spoons ? :)
And guess what, I received a VIP member card from them.
I'm not so sure how much must we spend in order to get a member card, but we spend RM123++ for foods and RM60 for BigBang stuff.
My luck I guess. Heard that some people have to go more than three time in order to receive their membership card.

I'm so sorry that I couldn't name some of the food name or even include the price of the food.
Accidentally lost the receipt :(
BUT, I really want to recommend all of you to try Gangam88. Really worth the price !
This place has become my favourite place of all the places I've visited.
I simply love the environment, the food and the warm services provide by the waiters :D
You too should give it a try !! And if I'm not mistaken, Gangnam88 was opened by Koreans *wink*

Uncle Jang @ Solaris Mont Kiara

I've heard a lot of people mentioning and sharing photos of food from Uncle Jang Dak-Galbi Korean Restaurant
And so I've decided to try it by myself. Felt kinda outdated tho as it was launched long ago and even currently has four branches.

First you'll be given menu. And they will also served free water for the customers, FOC.

I'm not so sure what is the rules there as this was my first visit.
But before coming here, I did some research. Was told that minimum order will be two sets of dak-galbi.
But when I was about to order, the waiter who entertained us said for a family of five, we need to order at least 4 sets :/
We have no choice, but to order four sets then. Ordered 3 normal set & 1 spicy set for safety which is RM22 for spicy set and RM19 for normal set.
Heard that the Korean spiciness level is beyond Malaysia's level.
So, this is how our Dak-Galbi look like after finish cooking it.
And for your information, Uncle Jang's Dak-Galbi consist of stir-frying diced-chicken, cabbage, scallions, onions and rice cake on huge pan in a chili-pepper based sauce.
We ate two set of ramens as recommended.

However, Uncle's Jang Dak-Galbi didn't really impress me.
I don't really know what's so special about it that my friend can visit it almost every week.
But if you're a fan of Korean BBQ or wants to have a try of it, do visit any of the four branches.

Salon Du Chocolat @ Publika

There is this new chocolate shop named Salon Du Chocolat @ Publika, located nearby Plan B.
I'm not sure how long it started their business. But it seem like they first started their business by selling packed chocolate and now they are trying something better for the business.
Salon Du Chocolat now offers mouth-watering, gourmet chocolates, pralines, and truffles hand-made from the finest ingredients.
I dare not compare the taste of it and DipnDip as I haven't tried DipnDip yet.
But many who tried both said Salon Du Chocolat taste nicer, the chocolate wasn't that sweet compare to DipnDip, and also cheaper.
I'll need to find one day to try DipnDip to know the truth tho.

Salon Du Chocolat sells sweet temptations from Turkey including chocolates, traditional Turkish desserts, dried fruit and confectionery.
They give out samples to try out too.
Chocolate Waffle (RM14.50)
Half Milk Chocolate, Half Dark Chocolate.
Chocolate Crepe (RM13.20)
I'm not so sure if they have increase the price or not as I went there during their first month of opening.
Was given promotion with purchase.
But however, I'll still visit here again as I have not try the other desserts.
Do drop by a visit and support them ! Very warm services but the only problem there will be lack of tables for the customers. So it's basically first come first serve.
Really hope they will provide more tables and chairs.

Namoo on The Park @ Publika

We visited Publika a day before Father's Day, which is like around June.
Believe it or now, it was our first time there.
Was suppose to try Red Beanbag but couldn't find it. So we end up at Namoo on The Park, which is also one of the shop that I wanted to visit.
Okay, I'll stop the craps and skip to the main point which is FOOD !

Snow Flower Sik Hae (RM8.90)
For Snow Flower Sik Hae, there is some tiny seeds at the bottom of the cup as you can see. But it is edible. It taste nice and sweet but somehow I don't really like the seeds being in the drinks tho.

Sweet Potato Cake ( RM10.90)
This is the signature dessert of Namoo Cafe.
Heard a lot about it from bloggers out there, and also some recommendation on it. So I've decided to order one to try it. Although the sweet potato cake is already sweet, but I like how they provide ice cream to be eaten with the sweet potato cake. Nice combination. Worth it for the price :)
BiBi Rice Burger (RM19.90)
Beef / Chicken
As you can see, it is not a normal burger bun. It was served with sticky rice as the bun.
Not so sure how it taste as it was my sister's dish. But, this come with a small bowl of salad and kimchi.
Fish & Chips (RM19.90)
Served with fries, and salad.
Kimchi Chicken Burger (Rm18.90)
This is my dish. I like the concept how they put kimchi and chicken to serve as a burger.
But somehow the kimchi is kinda sour for me to accept, and it is VERY filling !
Comes with a small bowl of kimchi and salads + fries.
And I think it is worth it compare to the fish & chips.
Shrimp Taco (RM20.90)
I'm not so sure with how it taste as well as my burger is too filling to me,
But my mum said it was nice, but also very filling. Do not look down at the two tacos !
The tacos come with a small bowl of kimchi and salad with fries.

I think basically every dishes will be served with a small bowl of kimchi and salad with fries.
Unless it was something more to western dish.
It cost me RM151.90 for everything here include 1 Cold Americano which cost RM8.90, and another set of Fish and Chip for my little brother.
Somehow, it is worth to visit here again. Especially for the desserts :9
